Azalea's RCM Achieves New KLAS Ranking

New research from KLAS Research ranked Azalea Health among the leading healthcare technology providers for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). We are thrilled by the honor as it shows that rural healthcare providers are making intentional progress by using our technology.

Providers are leveraging Azalea’s revenue cycle management (RCM) services to increase reimbursements across its ambulatory providers. The 2022 Azalea RCM Performance Analysis, examining more than 1.1 million claims providers, reported:

  • an average of 37 days in A/R compared to 45 to 60 days industry average
  • an average 1.6% claim rejection rates – half the industry standard
  • an average of 11% of total A/R greater than 120 Days compared to an industry average of roughly 15% – 25%

The healthcare industry is experiencing increasing challenges — staffing shortages, financial losses, and more- resulting in hospital or clinic closures. Providers, especially those in underserved rural markets, have struggled to keep up with technology advancements.

Yet, amid these seemingly insurmountable challenges, technology empowers many providers to deliver the quality healthcare outcomes everyone deserves.

The most recent ranking honor follows one we announced earlier this year when Azalea emerged as a Small Practice Ambulatory electronic medical record (EMR)/practice management (PM) contender in the 2022 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. In our inaugural listing in the Best in KLAS Report, Azalea received an 88.7 overall performance score.

Any company is only as good as what its customers think. These honors, both are significant because they measure our product and team’s effectiveness.

“Azalea Health knows what they are doing,” a director said in the report. “We are very comfortable with them, and we trust them. Our revenue has increased because they are billing correctly.”

However, these honors are not our destination; they are only a stop along the way.

Healthcare is at a crossroads. Long-standing problems require new thinking, and the right solutions can help rural healthcare providers mitigate their concerns about service offerings, revenue management, and electronic health records (EHRs).

“For me, the most important thing is patient success,” a CEO/president said in the report. “Azalea Health helps us with that. They make sure that all of our systems work together and that we have everything that we need right at our fingertips so that we can focus on helping patients.”

Rural providers operate in an often-overlooked market. Like their urban counterparts, they want to improve clinical outcomes, increase cash flow, and save critical time and resources to help them better provide care.

“Azalea Health thinks strategically,” a manager said in the report. “I recently talked to an executive, and they are changing their focus back to where it once was on rural health clinics and rural hospitals. That refocusing is important to me because we have small, rural hospitals. I can call an executive at Azalea Health who is accessible and listens to me. Our partnership is very strong.”

The RHC market is not just overlooked, but sometimes misunderstood. The billing needs are significantly different, for example split claim billing and cost reporting are critical necessities that technology partners need to be able to perform.

“Azalea Health consistently meets our expectations,” a CEO/president said in the report. “When we were searching for a billing company, we developed key performance metrics, and Azalea Health had the same philosophy that we did. They have incentives for their billers. That is how we get good performances. We have to manage our KPIs every day, week, and month. Azalea Health provides exceptional service. I like that their incentives are aligned with our incentives.”

These honors validate our approach, and more importantly, they embolden us to continue our mission — to help underserved healthcare providers improve patient care and profitability.

We look forward to helping you on your journey to improve your patients’ healthcare outcomes. Let us know how we can serve you.
