Healthcare Legal Consultant Bill Boling Joins Azalea Health Board of Directors

Atlanta, GA August 21, 2019 —  Azalea Health, the leading provider of cloud-based healthcare IT solutions and services for rural hospitals and practices, announced that Boling & Company Owner and Principal, William “Bill” Boling, has joined its board of directors.

“For nearly three decades, Bill has been a force and advocate for rural healthcare,” said Baha Zeidan, CEO and co-founder of Azalea Health. “His deep knowledge on the intricate and specific policies, regulations and pressures facing rural facilities makes him uniquely suitable for helping define the direction and growth of Azalea Health.”

The owner and principal of Boling & Company, Boling and his associates provide legal and consulting services to hospitals, physician groups, academic medical centers, telemedicine entrepreneurs, and health IT startups. An active member of the Georgia bar for more than 30 years, Boling has worked in healthcare branches of prestigious law firms, including: Shaw Maddox Graham Monk & Boling; Powell Goldstein LLP; Epstein, Becker, Green PC; and Morris, Manning & Martin LLP. In addition, Boling has served as general counsel at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) Health System, and taught various healthcare law classes at the University of Georgia School of Law, Georgia State University and the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy.

“Azalea Health’s mission to improve patient care and profitability at rural health clinics and rural hospitals, especially critical access hospitals, resonates deeply with me, as I have seen firsthand the impact that rural facility closures can have on a community,” said Boling. “I look forward to working hand-in-hand with Baha and the rest of the Azalea board to grow Azalea’s presence in communities. This is a time when affordable, effective Information Technology systems can make a world of difference for our health providers. ”

Since 2010, there have been 107 rural hospital closures, according to the NC Rural Health Research Program. Azalea Health’s complete health IT platform – including electronic health records, patient accounting, accounting, materials management, people management, prior authorization and payroll services – delivers the tools and resources required by rural facilities to deliver exceptional patient care, meet regulatory requirements and promote financial viability.

Boling & Company conducts an annual Rural Health Symposium at the University of Georgia School of Law, focused on policy discussion, the role of academic institutions, as well as innovative solutions that are emerging within the industry to address our rural healthcare crisis.
