Amid COVID-19, Rural Hospitals Go Live with Azalea Health EHR
Perry Community Hospital and Houston-based The Heights Hospital among providers finding success with remote EHR implementation
ATLANTA (PRWEB) August 19, 2020
Azalea Health (Azalea), a leading provider of simplified, fully cloud-based healthcare IT solutions and services, today announced that amidst COVID-19, hospitals have continued to move to Azalea Health’s cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform. Driven by the need for a scalable, straight-forward and modern EHR, these hospitals have worked closely with the Azalea Health team to implement, train and go-live with the software during social distancing and stay-at-home orders. These hospitals are benefiting from Azalea Health’s “one-patient, one-record” approach that brings data transparency, interoperability and care continuity to the small to mid-sized hospital market:
- Perry Community Hospital: A short-term acute hospital located in Linden, TN, and part of the Three Rivers Community Health Group.
- The Heights Hospital: A short-term acute hospital located in Houston, TX that includes the largest outpatient clinic in the Heights area.
- DeWitt Hospital: A critical access hospital that serves the southeast corner of Arkansas and one of the few providers in the region authorized to perform COVID-19 testing.
- Alliance Hospital: A short-term acute hospital serving Holly Springs, MS currently starting the implementation process with Azalea.
Additionally, many providers currently served by Azalea Health have implemented the company’s telehealth solution in response to the pandemic. As indicated by the recent White House Executive Order on Improving Rural Health and Telehealth Access, telehealth is likely to become a core component in care delivery—especially in the rural market where it serves as a lifeline to many who would otherwise go without healthcare access.
“Our ability to deliver while the pandemic continues to pressure the healthcare system and our clients is a testament to the talent of the Azalea Health delivery team,” said Fahad Saleem, Vice President of Client Services at Azalea Health. “Because Azalea’s solution is designed to be light, highly configurable and easy to integrate, we have delivered on our promised implementation timelines even though we are fully remote.”
