Baha Zeidan is the leading force behind new technology development and is responsible for driving the strategic direction for Azalea Health. In collaboration with his team, he ensures the company is on track to meet its product development, customer service, sales, and community goals. He is a strong proponent of health IT, cloud computing, mobile development, device computing, and big data analytics. Zeidan proactively cultivates strategic relationships with partners and shareholders who can aid in the advancement of Azalea Health and its mission. Zeidan is a Valdosta State University graduate and received the GOLD Award Alumni Award. He is an active board member in several local academic and regional chamber groups.

Douglas Swords

Co-founder and Vice President of RCM

Douglas Swords established the company’s back-office Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service division, while providing financial planning and leadership to Azalea Health. Swords brings over ten years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in management and scaling of RCM operations for medical providers and facilities of all sizes. He graduated from Valdosta State University with a BBA majoring in Finance.

Dan Henry is responsible for the overseeing the agile processes and IT infrastructure of Azalea Health. He has over fifteen years’ experience building state-of-the-art web applications, specializing in web-based portals for physicians, hospitals, and medical laboratories. Henry also serves as scrum master for Azalea’s agile teams and holds daily stand-up meetings with developers and product owners. Henry is a strong proponent of open source software and cloud computing and is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a BS in Computer Science and was awarded the VSU GOLD Alumni Award in 2008. He currently serves on the HIT Advisory Board for Wiregrass Technical College and the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce Business Incubator Task Force.

Nick Vailas joined Azalea in 2013 as Vice President of Business Development. In this capacity, Vailas leads market development, sales, and partner relationships. He brings a diverse background in healthcare IT, customer relations, sales and marketing, which helps to support and drive the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Vailas has more than twenty years of experience in software engineering, implementation, deployment management, and sales.

Russ Wedel has over 28 years of experience in the health IT industry, particularly with Professional Data Services Inc. (PDS) where he was responsible for directing strategic and tactical sales to accelerate revenue growth throughout the U.S.  He directed key account relationships and provided practice management & EHR solutions to practices of all sizes.  In his role at Azalea Health, Russ provides a keen focus on rural markets, including rural health clinics and the challenges they face in today’s world.  He graduated from Bethel College in Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Helen Williams has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare financial management, billing and coding in practices, clinics and hospitals. She has an extensive background working as a consultant in a variety of specialties, as well as in billing, verification, Medicare and Medicaid, cash management, and more. In her role with Azalea Health, she will provide insight and guidance in credentialing and in working with specialty practices and rural health clinics. Williams is a certified ICD-10 coding professional.

Julee Lincoln joined the Azalea Health team in 2012 and has over 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She attended Georgia College and State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science majoring in Biology.  Julee is now the Support Manager for Azalea which gives her the ability to work closely with all departments. Her main focus is on customer support and software development.

Today, her primary focus includes the day-to-day operations of the RCM department and analyzing financial performance to ensure maximum profits for Azalea RCM clients. Sara is a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) through the American Academy of Professional Coders. She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas with a B.B.A in Accounting and Finance

She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Valdosta State University.
