Baha is a Valdosta State University graduate with a Computer Science degree. During his senior year at VSU, he started working for a regional medical laboratory as an intern. Upon graduation Baha was promoted to Network Administrator for the company. Baha now has extensive experience in Network Administration, servers management, interfacing healthcare systems, and corporate firewall security. Throughout his career, Baha has managed networks with hundreds of workstations, dozens of servers, numerous wide area locations, and multiple server and end user applications. Baha also has experience leading IT support teams, and spearheading projects that have added tremendous value to companies by improving organization's productivity, data accessibility, and network security. Baha’s experience in the healthcare Information Technology includes designing systems that interface the Medical Laboratory Information System with a wide range of physicians Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Systems. Baha is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Information Technology Management with focus on Healthcare Information Technology Management. He is also an active member of MetroOne, an organization for Valdosta’s young professionals.



Douglas Swords

Doug is a Cum Laude graduate from Valdosta State University with a BBA Degree in Finance. Douglas began his career in the Healthcare Industry as a Finance Department Intern at a regional medical laboratory during his senior year in college. Within his first six months of employment, Doug was promoted to Accounts Receivable Supervisor above 15 other employees in the department. In 2004, Douglas was given the additional title of Revenue Analyst. As a supervisor, Douglas obtained extensive experience managing and training Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable employees who process payments, denials, etc for the 4,000 plus claims billed daily from the regional lab headquarters in Valdosta GA. As a Revenue Analyst, Douglas has experience analyzing and auditing revenue data while proposing better billing/testing procedures to maximize profit. Douglas spearheads special projects related to EDI, claim submission, patient billing, collections, and A/R software/hardware needs with the ultimate goal of maximizing reimbursement and profitability. Douglas is a member of the National Electronic Billers Alliance (NEBA) and through NEBA is a Certified Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist. At Azalea Health, Doug seeks to apply his extensive knowledge and experience to help all healthcare providers in the South Georgia, North Florida Region. Douglas is also an active member in the community. Douglas is an active Board Member of the Greater Valdosta United Way and has served on the Allocations Committee for the last two years. Douglas is also an active member of (and former Vice President) the South Georgia Medical Managers Group as well as the MetroOne Valdosta organization for young professionals.



Dan Henry

Dan graduated from Valdosta State University with a BS in Computer Science degree. While still in school, Dan started working for regional medical laboratory as an intern. Upon graduation he was promoted to the title of Software Applications Developer. In late 2003 Dan designed, coded, tested, and implemented an online laboratory reporting website which delivers approximately 15,000 reports per week with over 1,000 unique log-ins daily. Leveraging state of the art open source technologies, a system of front-end & back-end processes were developed to handle administration tasks and data transfers while keeping operating costs at a minimum. In January 2005, the online laboratory ordering system was brought into production. The online ordering system currently handles over 40% of all incoming orders into the medical laboratory. Dan’s work on the laboratory ordering and reporting system was recently featured in an article in the Valdosta Daily Times.

Mark is a senior at Georgia Southern University majoring in Information Technology and has several years of experience in various aspects of Information Technology. Mark began his IT career as a help desk specialist with a nationally known client relations management program for the automotive industry providing technical support, as well as, training new clients on using the CRM. Mark moved up to desktop and network support, managing a network of over 200+ PCs. From here he took a position as a System Support Specialist with a regionally based medical reference laboratory providing technical support and training of the company's online lab tests ordering and reporting program. At the same time Mark assisted in the management of the company's network of over 300+ PCs at the corporate location and 23 satellite locations spread across N. Florida, Georgia and Alabama. During his career Mark has been named Employee of the Month, Employee of the Year and a nominee for the Valdosta / Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce World Class Employee of the Year 2007. He holds a certification diploma in Linux Administration from Valdosta Technical College. Certification in Network Administration from the Cisco Certified Networking Academy and Valdosta Technical College.
